Admission Process / Application

Trinity welcomes inquiries and applications from prospective students and their families. Students may enter Trinity as new students in grades 8 or 9 or may transfer into the upper grades if space is available. Trinity enrolls students who will thrive in our challenging academic program and who will be positive members of our school community. Students are accepted without regard to racial, religious, or ethnic background.

We recommend having all admission requirements completed by January 1 in order to be considered in the first round of admission decisions. For applicants for 9th grade, the deadline for first round applications is January 27.  Students who wish to enter grades 8, 10, 11, or 12 may apply at any time and should follow the procedures listed below. These applications will be considered on a rolling basis based on space available.
The application consists of the following:
  • Online Application
  • Online Supplemental Forms:

The Standard Admission Test consists of one ability section (OLSAT) and three achievement sections (Stanford) covering reading, math, and language. All four sections of the test are multiple-choice. Both the Transfer Student Test and the Combination Entrance/IB Scholarship Test include more rigorous levels of the OLSAT and Stanford tests along with an essay portion.

  • IB Merit Scholarship for Freshmen

There is a space within the online application to indicate your interest in the merit scholarship process. For students applying for the merit scholarship, the scholarship test will serve as their admission test. The merit scholarship test includes an ability section and three achievement sections (OLSAT and Stanford) along with a writing sample. Merit scholarship testing is offered on the same dates noted above for the standard admission test. Information regarding merit scholarship awards is communicated with the acceptance information sent in March. Students applying for the scholarship, along with a parent, are requested to attend one of the IB Diploma Programme Information Sessions. Campus visits are strongly encouraged for students applying for merit scholarships. Students also have the opportunity to submit a video to be included in the merit scholarship review process. Guidelines for the video submission are provided after a student submits an application and has indicated interest in the scholarship process within the application.
