Trinity strives to give students opportunities to be citizens of the world. Through global engagement, students develop the ability to travel confidently, gain a more thorough understanding of cultures and lifestyles unlike their own, and learn how to apply their education in international situations.
Most Global Engagement trips are content-based; students can study art history in France, science in the jungles of Mexico, or the Classics in Italy and Greece. Each year, these trips vary by both subject area and country. Additionally, students pursuing fluency in Spanish or French can participate in a language exchange where they study abroad with a host family and, in return, host their new European “siblings” in their homes. There are also options for the young adventurer, such as backcountry skiing through Utah’s wilderness.
As an
International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, Trinity encourages students to visit foreign lands and experience diverse traditions. The IB programs aim, in part, to develop internationally minded people. However, all students, whether or not they participate in any facets of the IB Diploma Programme, are encouraged to travel and discover new perspectives during their time as a Titan.
