Graduation Details

  • Schedule

    Commencement will begin at 10:00 a.m.

    Seniors must arrive no later than 9:30 a.m.

    Traffic volume will be high entering campus. Please allow plenty of extra time for parking and walking to the Estes Athletic Center.
  • Guests

    There are no restrictions on the number of guests per student.

    Allow extra travel time to campus and for parking and walking to the Estes Athletic Center. There will be a shuttle service for those who need assistance.
  • Parking

    Please heed the directions of the yellow-jacketed traffic attendants as you enter campus.

    Parking is available on all of Trinity’s lots on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional parking will be made available on the baseball field. 

    There will be 30 accessible parking spaces in the Estes Center lot.

    There will be a shuttle service for those who need assistance. Individuals who need assistance may also be dropped off at the loop next to the Estes Center.

  • Attire for Graduates

    Attire for Graduation:
    • Tie, white or light pastel dress shirt, dress pants (no shorts), belt, and dress shoes. 
    • Well-groomed and clean shaven. 
    • No athletic shoes, flip flops, denim, hats, or sunglasses.
     Or
    • White dress or dress pants. 
      • Dresses should be a school-appropriate length. 
    • White, buff, or nude colored heels, dress flats, or sandals are required (no flip flops or athletic shoes). Please keep in mind that you will need to be able to walk comfortably in your shoes.
    Please note:
    • All students will wear their cap and gown for the graduation ceremony.
    • Only the following Trinity issued items may be worn on the outside of the graduation robe:
      • IB stole
      • “Top 10” medallion
      • Salutatorian or Valedictorian medallion

Year-End Events Details

  • Awards Ceremony (Monday, May 20)

    The Awards Ceremony is at 8:00 a.m. in the Estes Athletic Center. Families and guests are invited to attend.  Seniors must be in the Auxiliary Gym no later than 7:35 a.m.
     
    Attire for Awards Ceremony:
    • Coat, tie, white or light pastel dress shirt, dress pants (no shorts), belt, and dress shoes. 
    • Well-groomed and shaven according to the handbook.
    • No athletic shoes, flip flops, denim, hats, or sunglasses.
    OR
    • White dress or dress pants. 
      • Dresses should be a school-appropriate length. 
    • White, buff, or nude colored heels, dress flats, or sandals are required (no flip flops or athletic shoes). Please keep in mind that you will need to be able to walk comfortably in your shoes.
     
    Seniors must bring cap and gown to designated locker rooms before the Awards Ceremony. 
    • Before bringing your cap and gown to school, please make sure that you have removed wrinkles. Please steam or use a COOL iron. A hot iron will damage the material.
    • The cap and gown should be on a single hanger with name clearly marked on each piece
    • Immediately after the awards ceremony, the traditional senior picture will be taken with everyone in caps and gowns. 
    • Caps and gowns will then be taken home and brought back to school on Saturday morning for graduation.
  • Rehearsal (Thursday, May 23)

    Seniors will meet in the Estes gym at 3:00 p.m. for graduation rehearsal. Attendance is mandatory. Rehearsal should last approximately 90 minutes and will be followed by a treat from class parents!
  • Baccalaureate (Friday, May 24)

    The Baccalaureate ceremony is at 5:30 p.m. at Bon Air Baptist Church on Buford Road. Families and guests are invited to attend. Seniors must be present by 5:00 p.m. This non-denominational service is a chance for the seniors to be together and hear a final message from Trinity’s chaplain, Brian Griffin. All seniors are expected to attend. Please contact a senior class sponsor in advance if there are any conflicts.
     
    Attire for Baccalaureate:
    • Coat, tie, white or light pastel dress shirt, dress pants (no shorts), belt, and dress shoes.

    • No athletic shoes, flip flops, denim, hats, or sunglasses.

NOTES: 
  • Trinity does NOT limit the number of guests per graduate to any of the events. 
  • Graduation typically lasts about 1.5 hours and is then followed by a reception.
  • On Graduation day, traffic into the neighborhood and campus will be VERY heavy. Please allow extra time to arrive and park in order to be on time for the ceremony. 
Attire for each of these events will be specified in a separate letter.
