The Trinity Outdoor Program connects students to the natural environment so that they become engaged and caring stewards of their local and global communities.

William I. Snead Virginia Rivers Program
Students learn the history of the James River and become seasoned in:
Wildlife mapping
Water quality testing
Oyster harvesting
Students, faculty and alumni lead a week long summer camp for inner city students from Woodville Elementary School. The students learn to interact with the river in a safe and fun manner. They spend the week:
Canoeing
Swimming
Riding the rapids
Discovering wildlife
Outdoor Adventure Activities
The activities offered include:
Mountain biking
Rock climbing
Kayaking/paddle boarding
Students also have the opportunity to compete in the Dominion Riverrock Kayak Boatercross Race and the Virginia High School Mountain Bike Series.
Sustainability
Students learn the value of sustainability by cultivating campus seasonal gardens, collecting rainwater, composting, and growing plants in Trinity's greenhouse.
