Community Engagement at Trinity

Neighborliness is a cornerstone Trinity value –– a value encouraged by a community that is created from neighborhoods all over the greater Richmond area. Drawing from these widespread roots, Trinity has maintained a commitment to giving back and engaging with the communities surrounding Pittaway Drive.

Students and faculty engage in different types of service and community partnerships every year through a myriad of different avenues.

One way that all students participate in community engagement is through Trinity’s community service program, Shields in Service.

In addition, the school chooses to partner with local nonprofit groups each year to build relationships and foster targeted service opportunities.

A Community Engagement Council, made up of students and administrators, assists, influences and manages group service opportunities. These students gain future-ready skills, experience varied settings and situations and meet new people while serving others.
