Community Partnerships

Each year, Trinity commits to a yearlong partnership with local nonprofits for targeted service and support. Students support each organization with community service projects here on campus as well as on-site. Students also spreading awareness through education about each nonprofit's mission to our own Trinity community and beyond.

Yearlong Community Partners (2024-25):

Richmond Animal League (RAL) has been committed to saving the lives of animals and finding loving homes for pets for over 45 years. Since 1979, they've worked with area shelters to provide temporary housing, medical treatment, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and loving care to tens of thousands of pets who were then adopted into new homes.

Celebrate! RVA gives disadvantaged children a memorable birthday celebration in a safe and fun environment. "We believe in love and joy and how that can impact the heart of a child. We believe that joy from something as simple as a birthday party can transform a child and impact their lives in countless ways. All children deserve to experience joy and be given the opportunity to celebrate their special day, no matter their circumstances."

UMFS is a nonprofit organization that provides a comprehensive array of programs to support children, teens, and parents as they work to overcome challenges. We equip families with tools for success so they can achieve their goals.

Goochland Cares provides basic human services and health care to Goochland neighbors in need. Services include: Food pantry, medical care, clothing, mental health services, dental services, transportation, GED/ESL education, and more.

“We are excited to launch these partnerships and share our Titan spirit in supporting these fantastic organizations,” said Laura Hamlin Weiler ’00, Trinity’s head of community engagement. “We want students to make a strong, meaningful connection with a local organization and, in turn, educate the Trinity community (and beyond) about the importance of each of our community partners.”
In addition to the four major community partners each year, Trinity students partner with these area nonprofits for special projects and community service opportunities:
  • Commonwealth Autism/Good Foods Grocery
  • Congressional Hunger Center-Zero Hunger Challenge
  • RAMPS
  • St. Michael’s Episcopal School
  • Trinity Thrifts
