Athletic Hall of Fame: Weiler ’00 and Wong ’03

Laura Hamlin Weiler ’00 and Kristen Wong ’03 comprised the 2019 class of inductees into the Athletic Hall of Fame
In a midcourt ceremony on the evening of Saturday, December 7, Laura Hamlin Weiler '00 and Kristen Wong '03 became the latest inductees into the Trinity Athletic Hall of Fame. 
 
Announced in front of an enthusiastic home crowd during halftime of the boys final of the Dale Travis Invitational Basketball Tournament, Weiler and Wong join 32 previous inductees on the list. Those include six were in attendance on Saturday: Swannee Goodman Ericson ’75, Richard K. “Dick” Harman, Marcus Jones ’00, Marcus E. Nelson ’06, Brian Rollins, Margie Vaughan Snead ’85. 
 
Laura Hamlin Weiler '00 competed on several sports teams during her time as a Titan including soccer, lacrosse, basketball and field hockey. She was a part of the 1999 and 2000 basketball championship teams and the 2000 lacrosse championship team. During her senior season of lacrosse, she scored 62 goals and was named Athlete of the Year. She is now the Head of Community Engagement at Trinity and coaches the girls cross country team. 
 
Kristen Wong '03 played lacrosse, field hockey and basketball during her time at Trinity. She was a part of the 2001 and 2002 lacrosse championship teams. She went on to play lacrosse for the College of William & Mary where she was named a two-time First Team All-CAA player and was also selected to the United States Women's Elite team. Wong is now completing her surgical residency in New York.
